About the event
What is this about?
Create your own upcycled Earth artwork inspired by your appreciation of nature, geography, and this planet. The 'A World to Save' collaborative artwork acknowledges the efforts of individuals in protecting our planet and difference it makes when these efforts are made by many people and communities all over the world.
Who can participate?
All people living in or from the Wide Bay Burnett Region are invited to participate in a collaborative artwork developed for the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery to be exhibited in the Imaginart Gallery from the 25th of June 2021.
How do I participate?
- Or contact Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery for in-person workshop dates.
- Follow @innerherart on Facebook and Instagram for updates on other workshop locations
- Schools, organisations, or groups in the Wide Bay Burnett Region can apply directly to jennis@jennisardern.com for diy kits. Once complete the artworks and left over supplies can be sent back to me or to BRAG (pending confirmation).
What happens to my artwork?
When I recieve your artwork, I will sew it together with all the other artworks to create an installation for the exhibition at BRAG.
Why do you need them back?
This artwork is about each individual seeing themselves as a protector of the world but more than that, each person is also one of many collectively acting to protect their peception of Earth, their focus is on what makes Earth precious to them. Each individual contributes to the action that creates a real change for us all.
How does this relate to superheroes?
Well protecting the Earth is what superheroes do.
